Welcome to CCLASS

Bienvenido and welcome! As you find your way at UC Davis, the Center for Chicanx and Latinx Academic Student Success (CCLASS) is committed to providing academic, social and personal support.

We offer a welcoming space for you to study, receive support and build community. We want UC Davis to be the affirming and diverse home you deserve while you grow and thrive as both a scholar and an individual.

What does the x in Chicanx/Latinx mean?

The purpose of using “x” in “Chicanx/Latinx” is to allow for the Chicano, Chicana, Latino, Latina community to be gender expansive, meaning it includes all those who identify and don’t identify within the gender spectrum.

Our Priorities

The core mission of CCLASS is to provide an academic support space where students thrive as scholars and unique individuals. The center’s practices and services are grounded in the following three priorities:

Access: Get connected to community, academic and social support.

Academics: Learn strategies and best practices for the classroom.

Empowerment: Discover leadership and career development opportunities and explore employment opportunities.

Visit the center to take a break, receive help from writing and math specialists, access peer advising and counseling, and more.
